Bitdeer signs for a 67 MW liquid-cooled AI campus in Malaysia
What happened
Bitdeer AI says it has entered a 10-year data-center services agreement for A901, a planned 67 MW critical-IT-load campus in Malaysia that would become its third hub in the country.
What Bitdeer has secured
Bitdeer describes A901 as capacity covered by an executed 10-year data-center services agreement. The company says the campus will provide 67 MW of critical IT load, with initial capacity targeted for delivery in the first quarter of 2027 and the full amount in the second quarter. Those dates are development targets rather than capacity already online.
A901 would join Bitdeer's Malaysian locations in Cyberjaya and Johor. The precise site, developer or operator, price, power source and construction and power-delivery milestones remain unnamed.
The rack-and-cooling plan
The campus is intended for liquid-cooled, rack-scale Nvidia GB300 NVL72 systems. In that architecture, many accelerators are linked as one system and generate heat densities that make liquid cooling a core part of the facility design rather than an optional retrofit. The 67 MW figure refers to computing load, so the campus's total electrical draw would be higher after cooling and other overhead are included.
Bitdeer says A901 raises its secured AI-cloud capacity to about 273.5 MW across Malaysia, Norway and the United States. The company defines secured capacity as owned infrastructure or capacity under an executed data-center services agreement; that definition does not mean all of it is built, energized or sold to customers.
Demand claims versus contracted demand
Bitdeer estimates that its active sales pipeline exceeds $10 billion, but explicitly says that figure is not backlog, revenue, an executed contract or a binding commitment. It also says no customer offtake agreement had been signed for A901 when the announcement was issued. Any future contract value will depend on the service mix, term, site and pricing assumptions.
Watch for physical delivery and customer conversion: utility and site readiness, equipment installation, handover of the first capacity, and binding offtake contracts. Until then, A901 is a signed infrastructure commitment with a defined technical plan—not an operating 67 MW AI deployment.
Why it matters
A signed site-services agreement reserves a large block of future power and cooling infrastructure, but it is not the same as a customer contract or an operating AI cloud deployment.
